History

History

Since 2002, CaringWorks has demonstrated that men and women can escape homelessness and lead healthy, productive lives.

Built on the single idea that all people—no matter their social or economic standing—should have a chance to improve their quality of life, CaringWorks has grown exponentially to become one of Georgia’s leaders in providing permanent supportive housing. We serve nearly 1,000 people each year through unique programs and services that are specifically tailored to the needs of those facing chronic homelessness.

Through quality supportive housing, behavioral health, and a myriad of support services, CaringWorks is breaking the cycle of homelessness, one person, one family, at a time.

Only four comparable programs currently exist in the United States, yet estimates show that thousands of homeless individuals need these services.

Additionally, the organization launched a “housing first” approach to permanent supportive housing so that clients have a safe place to live as they receive other supportive services designed to help them reach their own level of independence and self-sufficiency.
